From an electricity
point-of-view Myanmar has many similarities with Cambodia, with:
- a national grid that,
while expanding, does not cover the entire country
- no feed in tariff
mechanism for excess power from RTS
The electricity tariffs
in Myanmar do however make a compelling case for installing RTS for 100%
self-consumption on commercial and industrial facilities.
For
off-grid solutions we have a strong set-up that allows up to 90% of the power
consumed to be provided by solar and batteries. The costs of solar power
available also in the night is about half of diesel costs.
